UWB board to meet again on Sept 26
The Board of United Western Bank (UWB) will meet again on September 26 to discuss the RBI’s draft amalgamation scheme to merge the bank with IDBI.
The board of directors of the UWB, which met here on Friday, took the decision in this regard as it has not yet received clarifications on certain issues from the central bank, official sources told media.
"We had sent a communication to the RBI early this week seeking clarifications on certain matters but we have not yet got a reply. We hope to get the reply soon and we will discuss these clarifications in the meeting," sources said.
The UWB can give their observations and suggestions on the draft amalgamation scheme of the apex bank only after it receives RBI’s reply, sources added.
