Unichem acquires stake in Niche
Unichem Laboratories Ltd has acquired the remaining 40 per cent stake in its subsidiary Niche Generics Ltd to make it a wholly owned subsidiary. Prior to this acquisition, Unichem held 60 per cent stake in the subsidiary while 40 per cent was held by independent directors.
Niche Generics, incorporated in the UK, is engaged in product development, dossier filing and manufacturing pharmaceutical formulations. Shares of Unichem rose 2.75 per cent to close at Rs 262.
