MindTickle, a gamification platform to train salespeople, has raised about R82.5 Cr ($12.5 Mn) in Series A round led by New Enterprise Associates along with participation from existing investors Qualcomm Ventures and Accel Partners. With the deal, NEA general partner Ravi Viswanathan will join the board of the company. Previously, it had raised about $1.8 million in seed funding from Accel Partners and Moneta Ventures. The funding amount will be deployed to improve the performance of its direct and channel sales teams Founded in 2011 by Krishna Depura, Nishant Mungali, Mohit Garg and Deepak Diwakar, MindTickle (operated by MindTickle Interactive Media Pvt Ltd) cuts training time for sales executives and offers coaching, role playing and feedback based on feedback to calculate sales efficiency. Currently, it has a 40 people team in Pune and has more than 150,000 users on its platform. It also claims to have customers in eBay, SAP, Yahoo, AppDynamics, Nutanix, Cloudera, Ola, CouchBase, Rocket Fuel, HCL, Vodafone and InMobi.
