Private equity firm EQT to buy Australian parking tech provider Orikan

Sweden-based investment firm EQT said on Monday it ​will buy Melbourne-based parking ‌and compliance technology provider Orikan, extending a run of regional ​deals.

Here are some ​details:

  • EQT said the acquisition will ⁠be made through its ​Asia mid-market-focused fund, BPEA ​Mid-Market Growth Partnership, but it did not disclose financial terms.
  • Orikan, owned ​by Australian private equity ​firm Five V Capital, provides parking ‌and enforcement technology to governments, universities, transport agencies and commercial operators across Australia, New ​Zealand and ​North ⁠America.
  • The deal adds to EQT’s recent mid-market ​acquisitions in Asia, ​including ⁠investments in Australian property management platform PropertyMe and Japanese ⁠information ​technology firm Mamezo ​Digital Holdings.
