Deutsche Bank AG promoted Charlie Dupree to lead mergers and acquisitions in the Americas and named Bank of America Corp.’s David King co-head of dealmaking for technology companies.
Dupree, who’s advised on some of the firm’s biggest transactions in industrials since joining from JPMorgan Chase & Co. in 2006, is replacing Jim Ratigan, who’s stepping down to pursue opportunities elsewhere, according to an employee memo on Wednesday obtained by Bloomberg.
King succeeds Lee Counselman, who’s taking a global post focusing on clients in the software business, according to the memo. King will be based in San Francisco, working with co-head Tom Cho. Jamie Cheston and Brad Kinnish will be co-heads of Americas software.
A spokeswoman for the Frankfurt-based bank confirmed the memo’s contents. The Wall Street Journal and Reuters reported the moves earlier Wednesday.
Ratigan had been M&A co-head alongside Tony Whittemore, who left the firm earlier this year. He later joins Barclays Plc, according to his LinkedIn profile.
