HomeLane Tech Acquires Startup Doowup

HomeLane, a technology backed venture offering customizable, home setup solutions including kitchens, wardrobes and entertainment units. has acquired tech startup Doowup, for an undisclosed amount. Operating in the $10 Bn home set-up market, HomeLane is an end to end, vertically integrated interior design and manufacturing provideroffering personalized design service, wherein an experienced panel of interior designers works with customers to customize designsfor houses. Homelane was incorporated in 2014 and is operated by Homevista Decor And Furnishings Pvt Ltd. The company currently exists in six cities and had raised about $4.5 Mn from Sequoia Capital in February this year. In June, it had launched a virtual reality-based device ‘Kaleido’, which allows users to envision different looks for their kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms in real time. Deals in space: LivSpace (operated by Home Interior Designs E-Commerce Private Limited), had acquired YoFloor, a mobile platform that offers a virtual trial room for home design, for an undisclosed amount. Online home décor marketplace, Pepperfry had raised R642 Cr ($100 Mn) in Series D round of funding from Goldman Sachs, Zodius Technology Fund and existing investors Bertelsmann India Investments and Norwest Venture Partners. Bengaluru based online furniture and home décor portal, Urbanladder.com, had raised an undisclosed amount of funding from Cambrian Ventures co-founders, Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan
