India’s deal activity saw a robust improvement in calendar year 2024, which saw total deal value across mergers and acquisitions, private equity, IPOs and QIPs touching $116 billion, according to Grant Thornton’s latest annual deal tracker.
The report said the deal value climbed by 76% compared to 2023, where its data showed deals worth $65.8 billion were struck.
Merger and acquisition deals worth $44 billion were struck. Nazara Technologies, which made 21 acquisitions, was followed by Adani Group, which made 18 acquisitions, and Aditya Birla Group, which made 13 acquisitions.
