InPost to buy remaining 70% in Menzies, SkyNews reports

Industry:    2 months ago

Parcel locker company InPost is in “very advanced talks” to buy the 70% stake it does not already own in British logistics firm Menzies, Sky News reported on Monday.

InPost declined to comment.

Citing unnamed sources, SkyNews said the deal was likely to be announced this week.

InPost bought a 30% stake in Menzies for 49.3 million pounds ($64.4 million) last year and has a three-year option to buy the remaining 70%.

InPost CEO Rafal Brzoska said last month the company would make a decision on whether to use the call option by the end of the year.

The deal gave InPost access to countrywide distribution in Britain, its fastest growing market and a key one for its growth strategy and further expansion.
