Motherhood Hospitals acquires Bengaluru-based Femiint Hospital

Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH) owned maternity and pediatrics Motherhood Hospitals, on Wednesday said it has acquired Bengaluru-based Femiint Hospitals.

The company didn’t disclose the financial details of the acquisition.

With this acquisition, Motherhood Hospital further consolidates its presence in Bengaluru with a network of 7 hospitals and 2 outpatient facilities.

The company has built a chain of 18 hospitals across 8 cities in the country post the AHH investment in 2016 and has invested around 200 crores in consolidating its presence in the city of Bangalore and is planning to make an additional investment of 50 crores.

The Benguluru-based specialty chain has a dominant position in the country in neonatology with a network of 200 neonatal intensive care unit beds.

Femiint Hospitals is located in the IT dominated Whitefield region provides comprehensive women and childcare services including in vitro fertilisation (IVF) care.

“The acquisition of Femiint gives us a deep presence in East Bangalore and their values align with our vision of achieving excellence in women’s & children’s health services. The pandemic has accelerated the need for women’s health, and they are seeking specialized ecosystems that provide care for them and their children,” said Vijayarathna Venkatraman, CEO, Motherhood Hospitals.
