Country’s third largest software company Wipro, through its digital unit Wipro Digital, has acquired Denmark based global strategic design firm Designit for a consideration of about R594 Cr. Founded in 1991 by Mikal Hallstrup, Designit is a strategic design company offering design research, digital design, product design, service design, and visual design services. The company employs more than 300 people across nine offices globally globally including in Copenhagen, Stockholm, Munich and Oslo and has worked with clients such as Audi, Vodafone, L’Oreal Paris and GN ReSound. The company offers a complete range of digital offerings in healthcare, telecom, banking and automotive sectors. Wipro Digital operates as a subsidiary of Wipro Ltd, and is engaged in providing digital work and support digital transformation. Recently, Azim Premji led Wipro Limited has acquired the IT services business of Canadian logistics and utilities firm, ATCO for $195 Mn (c.INR 11.7 Bn). The buy comes along with the India’s third largest software services exporter inking one the largest outsourcing contract worth $1.1 Bn (INR 66 Bn) with ATCO.
