The industrial automation business of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering said it has signed definite agreement to acquire Linecraft.ai, a Pune based AI-enabled industry 4.0 company.
Linecraft.ai harnesses the power of both automation domain expertise and artificial intelligence (AI) & machine learning (ML) to empower manufacturers to get more productivity and quality improving operational efficiency on real time basis. The software is built by a team of AI & ML experts and engineers with a patented algorithm and has been proven with successful implementation on complex automated manufacturing assembly lines in the industry globally.
“Our industrial automation business has grown significantly in the last four years. We always envisioned that we would bring in latest cutting-edge technologies to our customers in their journey from industry 3.0 to industry 4.0,” Pratik Kumar, CEO, Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN), said. “This acquisition will further help us expand our digital capabilities and offer turnkey automation solutions with bolt-on digital layer which provides deep insights and analytics to customers, The patented technology collects and analyses large amounts of data from industrial machines and recommends ways to optimize productivity using AI, ML, thereby significantly enhancing the customer value proposition.”
For Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, post the acquisition of PARI, which has around 1500 employees and a significant global presence, this acquisition represents an important step in the strategic development of the group in digitisation arena, said the company.
