Zscaler is acquiring Red Canary to create an AI-powered security system that detects threats faster and more accurately. Combining Zscaler’s vast data with Red Canary’s threat detection expertise will transform how businesses protect themselves against cyberattacks.
Combining strengths for smarter security
Red Canary has over 10 years of experience in Managed Detection and Response (MDR), helping customers investigate threats up to 10 times faster with nearly 100 per cent accuracy.
Zscaler’s CEO Jay Chaudhry said, “The proposed acquisition of Red Canary is a natural expansion of our capabilities into managed detection and response and threat intelligence to accelerate our vision of AI-powered SOC of the future.”
Together, they aim to deliver an AI-driven Security Operations Center (SOC) blending human expertise with automated workflows.
A global leader’s vision for AI in cybersecurity
Protecting almost 45 per cent of Fortune 500 companies, Zscaler operates the largest cloud security platform, processing over 500 billion transactions daily. Red Canary is recognised as a leader in MDR by Forrester and Gartner.
Brian Beyer, Red Canary CEO, added, “As part of Zscaler, we will elevate how IT and security teams address the rapidly shifting threat landscape with the strength of our combined technology and expertise.” The acquisition is expected to close in August 2025, pending regulatory approval.
