Virtual reality headset maker, Absentia has secured about R1.2 Cr in seed round led by a clutch of investors including Astarc Ventures and 50K Ventures. The company plans to use the funds towards marketing for a global reach and streamlining the inventory. Founded in 2015 by Shubham Mishra, Vrushali Prasade and Harikrishna Valiyath, Absentia is a technology company and is engaged in manufacturing of virtual reality headset. The startup has built a a Virtual Reality Headset- Tesseract under the company name Absentia. The device-agnostic technology can convert any media or game to virtual reality and simulate it on user’s own head mounting device- Tesseract. It allow users take a VR walk with 360 degree vision in any 3-D model. It also has a video player which allows users to watch 360-degree videos with complete 3-D immersion and live streaming of 360-degree videos from YouTube.
